Debora, a French immigrant in Montreal, is forced to seek refuge with her estranged friend Marjolaine after losing her job, apartment, and relationship. 

Marjolaine is leading a fight to prevent the sale of her building to a corporate investor, but the tenants’ group is a mess of conflicting personalities and agendas. 

As Debora joins their struggle, she faces an identity crisis, torn between her past as an outsider and her desire to get back the life she had dreamed up for herself. Amid the group’s escalating dysfunction, Debora must navigate her own self-doubt while learning that survival depends not just on personal resolve, but on finding a way to collaborate despite their differences.
